cci 450 vs cci 41

Someone please school me. It is my understanding that the cci41 primers use a magnum priming compound, and have a harder cup. If I'm replicating a load recipe that calls for cci450's, could I not substitute 41's in their place? I have sort-of enough 41's, but I'm a little shy on 450's.

I have always been told and read that the cup hardness is the only difference between 41s and 450s

I imagine it wouldnt be a whole lot of difference

I'm not sure a couple of high performance actions would light 41s since the anvil is deeper.
Just a guess

I was speaking about loads specifically for gas guns, and should have been clearer about that. I would probably opt for 450's in other actions.

I swapped from br2s to 41s when I picked up 5000 for cheap. They have been great in my Origin dasher.
