CCI Small Rifle Military Primers #41 for pistol reloading

So this may end up being a really stupid question to post but I am going to do it anyway.

I obtained a significant number of these small rifle primers. more than I would use in a decade for rifle but I do a significant amount of pistol reloading. What I am wondering is if anyone has ever used small rifle primers to develop loads for pistol. Given there are a lot of individuals in the industry and who have done a good amount of reloading I thought I would ask.

Same size, worked fine in .357 mag loads. Limiting factor could possibly be if the pistol firing pin on whatever you are using reliably ignites them.

Size is the same but might be too hard to reliably ignite, depending on the mass of the FP and mainspring weight. Before I loaded a bunch, I would load 50 and try them.

Thanks. I will load low and work up while making sure the primers ignite. My handguns are typically strait factory triggers and springs so will just have to test.

I guess a positive is that you sure as hell won't be worried about primer cup strength!!
