Cerakote before Ops Inc. Collar, Or After?

I got my WOA SPR barrel in finally. Will the cerakote be too thick after its applied to put on the Ops Inc Collar?

I guess what I'm asking, will the collar damage the cerakote if the cerakote is applied first? Or should I install the collar, then cerakote the barrel black? The brake and collar are on the way, so I don't have any idea how tight it goes on.

I remove everything from my WOA barrel and sent it in for Cerakote. Sent gas block and brake in with the barrel and will put everything back together.

My OPS collar went right over my Cerakote barrel. It was the heat cure version. The final machining dimension of the barrel and the internal are going to make more of a difference, and its why other people's experiences way not equate to yours.

Leave it off, spray the Cerakote and let it cure. If you find its too tight, which I doubt will be a problem, you can always warm the collar in the oven so it expands slightly.

You should be gtg cerakoting before. I sandblast and coat barrels in stripped form and have had zero issues installing gas blocks over a barrel that's been coated and fully cured.
