Has anybody seen how cerakote will hold up on g10 grips for a pistol that actually gets used? Should I quit being a cheap ass and just get new grips?

I've used H-Series on G10 knife scales and 1911 grips. I've had the fantastic results only when blasting them with 80 grit aluminum oxide at 120 PSI and baking at low temp (170F) for about 90 mins. They turn out great. I should mention though, if you're applying the Cerakote yourself it might run you nearly the same - or even more - than buying new grips after buying blast media, the Cerakote, etc. Overall though, Cerakote will do the job well...
