On my 6.5CM with Stiller action i had the action/barrel painted with cerakote. Left the bolt alone. But the bolt isn't as "smooth" as it should be. Feels like it's dragging just a hair on the cerakote where maybe it got just a tad to thick. If you don't run the bolt perfectly straight meaning any kind of force on it, it drags. It's most prevalent when the bolt is about half way back. Unlike my 'naked' 700 that is smooth. Is there any way to reduce the friction being caused? I know cerakote is tough stuff so it would take the life time of the barrel to break in, so just looking for someway to speed it up without damaging the rifle or ruining the finish.

CLP, oil, grease.. Add one or some to the bolt and race ways. On a clear weapon sit in front of the tv and rack it back and forth for and episode or two. Give it some time and it while wear in. Any marred finish will be called "use" not damage. Dry firing and cycling the bolt will help. Also shoot it some as well, and it should smoothen up.
You can take a woood dowel wrapped in 500 grit paper, and slide it back and forth in the race way. Just do enough to remove and smooth out the excessive build up. Clean it out really well, and add a very light coating of bolt Lube such as the one made by Bore Tech.
My Stiller still feels sticky after 2500 rounds.I coated my defiance and left the bolt alone but I had to remove the coating in the radius in the bottom of the action that the bolt rides in. We also were careful not to really get the coating inside the action, but it does build up in that radius a little. I removed it with 600 grit and its nice and smooth again.
i had this problem with a dua coat job once i put polishing compound on the lugs and worked the bolt smooth again
