Cerakote on a barreled action

Typically, does a shop that applies cerakote remove the barrel from the action, apply their stuff, and then re-assemble it or is it usually applied with the barrel attached to the action?

Mine was applied with the action n barrel connected looks great and shoots great

either way will be fine as long as they head space it if they take it apart

The shop that did it isn't open until Tuesday but first thing I am going to call and confirm. I believe that they left it in tact as there are no wrench marks on the barrel nut.

Just make sure they don't cerekote the bolt lugs and bolt raceways. It turned a wonderfully slick Defiance machine action sluggish for me.
