Chain mail armor still a thing

Diving suits that are made to protect wearers from shark bites are entirely made of micro-ringed chain mail. That is what the suits in these pics look like. The butchers and fish processors working at the huge Chinese supermarkets around here all wear arm-length chainmail gloves to guard against injuries from the knives while working fast. Some of the guys who offload produce from the trucks, especially wooden crated and palletized freight, seem to like them too.

As you see German SEK (SWAT) have plenty of firepower , the 2 man with sticks and chainmail are just the blunt end ,used to tackle suspects ,for now taking suspects alive is the norm.

Some custom mantackling sticks and some sort of a grapling implement

The lengths they'll go to not to use a gun...
I'll bet that mail makes you very agile.
Especially like the long sticks and "sheperd's hook", appropriate for the sheep.
I wonder what'll happen if a perp has one of these:

Hmmmm...do they store it next to the "Polish Penetrator"? Seems SWAT legit...
