Ok, so I got bored today, which is dangerous, and got to playing on JBM looking at random drop tables from completely fictional data. It really got me thinking though, whether it would be possible to have a stable of rifles that you could have the same drop chart for, out to the practical range of the rifle.
So my challenge for you is to come up with 3 existing calibers with realistic data for bullet, case, velocity, etc. The challenge is coming up with three that match up to be able to theoretically hit a 6 inch target within the reasonable range of that rifle, with all 3 guns having as close as possible to the same drop/wind. Have one rifle based on .223 sized boltface, one based on .308 boltface (short or long action), and one on magnum or lapua boltface. I am aware a .223 based rifle will not match with a lapua at 1000 yards, but like I said, within reasonable ranges for the rifles.
So is it going to be possible????
post up and lets see!
