Change in elevation = change in zero?

I am taking the family from Texas to Colorado next week and driving through Raton, NM each way. I have always wanted to shoot the white buffalo they have at 1,123 yards so I'm taking my 6.5CM and 224V. My 9 yr old is starting to get excited about shooting it too. I know the dope will be different since I normally shoot at 1,000' elevation and Raton is 6,500'+. Should I expect my zero to be dramatically off as well or should it be relatively close (.1-.3 mil)?

Whittington Center is closed due to NM being essentially closed. Last two monthly matches have been canceled.

Or at least call and make sure.

Thanks for the responses, always check zero just didn’t know what to expect.

I called Whittington Center yesterday because I’ve heard NM has a 14 day quarantine and doesn’t like out of staters, they are open and me and my family will have no problem shooting there. The person I talked to seemed surprised I was asking.

Wish they'd stop cancelling the matches.

I get it. I know there was a ELR match scheduled for this weekend that got canceled. If they had that I was going to try to shoot on my way home a week later. They did say they had a LRP class starting next Monday.
