Hi
Im looking to buy myself a AXMC rifle but i dont like the AX stock that well. And i just love my Manners PRS stock.
So i would like to fit a manners stock to an AXMC rifle system.

Is there anybody in here that has experience with changing stock on a AXMC . Sorry my bad english, from Norway :)

Sure you can break it from the bonding, as the action is bonded to the chassis, but it will never be the same again.

There have been some who have taken AT Rifles at 1/2 the price and put them in a chassis or other stocks, but an AXMC, I have not seen as very few people want to destroy the value of the rifle.

It's your rifle, you can do with it what you want, separate it from the bedding, but once you do, all bets are off, if you call AI to fix it later they will probably laugh.

I would just get a badger m2013 action if your just gonna separate a AI. The whole package is what makes the AI so good. The badger functions similarly and manners has the inlet for it I believe.

If you get a complete manners blank you may be able to mill it out for a AXMC, I would say you’d need almost an oversized blank to allow for the width of the action. Then you’d have to mill the side to allow for quick screw. Then a new trigger guard and most likely bottom metal would need to be made.
It’s doable, but it’s not gonna be cheap.

we had contemplated putting a AT into a manners, but after rethinking cost the customer opted for a MPA chassis instead.

Anything is possible with enough money and imagination, good luck

If you have the magnum AI AXMC (long action)...good luck. Like stated above, anything is possible with enough money thrown at it, but to my knowledge no one has de bonded an MC.

If you’re talking about the short action AX308, then yes it’s been done a few different ways and in theory should work with a Manners blank and maybe a mini chassis...and a bunch of money and someone willing to do the work. The aftermarket chassis I designed embraces the ergos of the AI platform for better or worse, and only really improves on it from the grip forward. So I don’t think it’s going to be the right solution for you.

Good luck. If you happen to be wealthy and have tons of money to throw at this, let me know and I’ll see what I can do ?

Think i will bury that thought now :) and just go for a custom build.
Thx for all replies mutch appreciated

Have been looking at Impact Precision for a custom build, any experiences there?
I just bought an impact because the oil market crashed and an AI is outta the question for the time being. Messing with it the other when I bought it, it felt extremely smooth. I just don’t know what stock or chassis I’m gonna put it in yet.
