Chargemaster Upgrades

I’m considering some upgrades for my Chargemaster 1500 and am looking for input from anyone that has used any of the following:

Dram Worx hopper - I like the idea of glass and it looks pretty sweet!

Area 419 pan and base replacement - worth it? Just easier to handle or any notable improvments in consistency?

Machined “straw” inserts - I know there’s a dude on here that sells them. Any other options? (Yes - I know a plastic straw is an option but looking for an upgrade from the plastic.)


I’ve searched around and found several opinions without actual experience with the items so I’m hoping some here have actually used them.

The insert for the Chargemaster Lite is $18 or so on eBay and dramatically reduced my overthrows. I consider mine $18 well spent. I looked at the hopper and the Area419 stuff but they seemed to be "cool" but not really solve any problems I'm having.

Re-Programming: RCBS Chargemaster Combo :: Primal Rights, Inc

If you don't have an RCBS Chargemaster Combo, you probably need one! By reprogramming the Chargemaster, you'll cut your charge times in half, or more.
