Chassis manufacturers......

Why don't they all just make their chassis's all ambi. I would think it would make their customers happier at the end. I know us lefty shooters aren't that much, but how much extra does it actually cost to cut a bolt relief in on both sides of a chassis?

Anything is possible with one of these....

Playing the devil's advocate but it may not always be as simple as making an additional cut out for a bolt. I'd have to imagine that whatever cut outs are being done for a RH bolt and trigger would need to be done on the left side. That means that it'd take twice as long to get through that one operation than it did previously and it may require a new fixture to be designed and implemented. That's just added expenses cutting into what are probably already narrow margins and if they increase the price then it could only drive potential customers away that don't really care about having an ambi chassis.

Also, folding mechanisms. If they have a folding mechanism that's unique to them it may not work with a LH bolt and make the feature useless.

As a lefty, I prefer left handed actions in left handed chassis and not a one size fits all ambi type.

Well, we're blessed with statistically higher IQ scores, so I can see why you'd be jealous!

Also statistically shorter life span. I can only assume it's from dealing with the stress of stupid people.


I learned to shoot everything both ways. It's come in handy at matches where they toss the "non-dominant hand" stage in there.
