Rifle Scopes Cheap Anti Cant Level

Hunting season is around the corner for us and I have a coupe of rifles that dont have Anti cant levels. So I had some cheap old rings laying around and purchased a $1.99 level from Harbor freight. I cut and file the ring flat, and took apart the level to use the plastic bubble tubes. Epoxy the the bubble to the ring, and their you go. Very cheap Anti cant level that's work well.

I plan on making one off to the side. Probably drill a hole into the ring base side.Install bubble level n a aluminum tube with cutout to see and protect level damage. Install level into base ring and epoxy it. Side version level.

And the best part about it, other than the cost to you, is you can calibrate it yourself since it's on an independent ring. It will be interesting to see if it lasts a full season.

Good idea, very clever and very inexpensive. Let us know how the side mount version works out for you.

Great idea, I know what being bored is...when I get bored, I cut Pmags down to 5, 10 and 15 round capacity
