Thought I read about issues with that a while back ?If you’re not worried about the ability to use a plugged pressure pad, the Steiner Tor-Mini IR from TNVC is pretty slick and only ~$270.
My "go to" is steiner OTAL-c .. tiny and light ... and compatible standard plugs ...
We also have an N-Vissys Vitale (PAQ-4C work-alike-competitor) for same price as the steiners.
I think it is basically a low powered atilla.wig - any details on the Vitale? I tried searching but got no results.
TOR mini - I had a problem with the screws that hold it to the rail snap with not much torque. They fixed, no issue, but I would not trust one to get knocked on a carbine and not snap. Depends on how you treat it, but not in the same class of rugged as other options IMO.Thought I read about issues with that a while back ?
I have a rail master IR and like it, but not even a little bit water proof.I have had really good luck with the Crimson Trace Rail Master IR and Lasermax Uni IR for cheap, low-profile IR lasers. That said, I never beat on them or used them on anything harsher than a 6.5 Creedmoor gas gun.

I love this one too, it is not low profile but a great unit.I'm new to all this....recently dipped toes in a bit...
Luna Elir3.....comes class I....in 5 seconds you remove filter and = class III full power.
I'm REALLY impressed for $350
What really makes it awesome is being able to adjust beam width and intensity
You know what else is dangerous if people are down range? Bullets. Be smart about where you point your shit. The Luna is a good laser illuminator, but not usable as an aiming laser. AND very dangerous if there is any chance people could be down range. Permanent eye damage danger!
The Luna comes off with two finger screws so can be used as a hand held. Since this is a place where novices come to learn it is worth mentioning it can pop eyeballs with the filter removed. You know what else is dangerous if people are down range? Bullets. Be smart about where you point your shit.
Agreed with all the above.
I have been very careful being a noob and being over the top mindful about capping it since I have filter removed.
You can always add filter back on Luna if desired.
Aiming laser.....not for long range accuracy.
Use it for 50-100 yards would prolly work.
I know you're squared away deersniper and know your shit.
As much as your in the field hunting I know that you would find a use for Luna Elir3 no matter what.
I'm gonna try to use it with my Leupold Mk4 spotter and see how it works.
How is the image? I use a 3x with my PVS-14 but that is a big objective and only 3x.
Military ran them for a while. Good systems, with the exception of a weak illuminator (it will work in a room). The lasers are more then efficient for anything you will use them for.wig - any details on the Vitale? I tried searching but got no results.
