Cheek rest cover for winter

My cheek rest on my McRees G7 is all metal and can get a bit chilly.

Its design doesn't lend well to vetwrap, I'll need something self adhesive that I can cut to shape and apply 1 layer, rather than many layers of wraps.

Am I looking for felt tape, gaffers tape, or something else? Ability to stay put in all weather/temps and remain decently soft with minimal pilling is preferred.

Neoprene sheet, even mousepad, and 3M Super 77 spray.

Moleskin was always a favorite, but the adhesive on it won’t satisfy the temps. Unless maybe you also use Super 77.

I cut leather to fit for my mpa and glue on with super glue or 77 veg tanning and smoothing edges is really simple , YouTube helped me out a bunch... If I could do again I'd just get a wiebad , felt one the other day at the range and it's tits.

Try some "moleskin" in the pharmacy section of your favorite store. It comes with an adhesive backing so you can stick it in place.

So is the frost and ice in it in the winter! Shaved mine off because I got tired of frost in it several winters ago and I'm not a fan of balaclavas, or face masks unless we're talking Alaska. They also don't come with AC in the summer either. I'd rather spring for the stock pad.

Nope I'm good, could have used that in the summer on it but not in the winter. I'm sticking with the old "if you were supposed to have a beard Uncle Sam would've issued you one, or ordered relaxed grooming standards." Stock pad, neck gaiter, and if I feel the need to have some botanics stuck somewhere there is always the ghillie net instead - someone has to support the industry. LOL

Sorbathane? (Rubber 3M stick on pad) from website God A Grip. The guy is in Florida and sells all sizes. I bought a few for various rifles and they work great, stay on with strong adhesive, can be cut with scissors to fit, and are very affordable. $10-20 ish.

I have been using material from A-grip.Bought a sheet and cut to fit.It has held up well so far and in thin and comfortable.Feels similar to moleskin and is self adhesive.
