Guys, not looking to be a "tool", but looking for direction. I hump my GAP with a TAB biathalon fairly far into the pasture/weesatch, setting up on hogs. Looking for something, outside of my issue shit, that I can carry some water/mags/tools/dip and pogie bait in, on the front side. Any suggestions? Last time out, I put my camelback pack on the front, and it worked, but was odd.

Re: Chest rigs...

Well, I was going to link the Tac Ready chest rig for you, because that's what I use, but I can't find it anymore. I'm not really sure if it would be big enough for you anyway, but I try to travel pretty light & I love mine.

Rifle's Only doesn't show it & neither does the Tac Ready website... maybe it wasn't such a hot seller.

Re: Chest rigs...

Check out Tactical Tailor's MAV

They also have a "Mini MAV" that could work.

I have the two piece MAV and find it very light and with all the pouches, mag holders etc available, highly configurable.

Had to laugh about putting your Camelback pack on the front of you. BTDT once with a different pack. Felt like I was hauling Mini Me around....

Re: Chest rigs...

I use the mini MAV from Tactical Tailor it's great for my AR, for the amount of gear you are carrying I would look at a Gearslinger or Versipak from maxpedition, kinda like a messenger bag that just goes over one shoulder.
