Gunsmithing Chicagoland Gunsmith????

I'm looking for a vetted gunsmith to do some work on several sniper rifles for our county swat team. Anyone have any suggestions???

I'm in the same area but was unable to find a trustworthy local . Sent mine out to Chad at Long Rifles Inc. and couldn't be happier with the end result . Well worth the hassle of shipping !

Chad, Mark Gordon, Keith Johns, William Roscoe, Nate, just take your pick of any of these, and you will be happy. Shipping is the smallest worry you will have if any of these guys do it for you. There are more, just these are who I know.

Looks like we need a few good gunsmiths from this area! Thanks for the leads and info, HATE to ship out the rifle as i'm then off the call roster, but I guess I may have to!

I've tried to find a smith in my area. I found one and let him have a go at installing a muzzle brake on my custom barreled action. He threaded the barrel good but it looked like fucking shit when he gave it to me. I was able to fix it but I will never use this guy again. I tried the support my local smith shit but fuck that idea! I could of should of sent it to Karl Kamfeld where it would have been done perfectly and in probably less time. My stick was down for a month with this jackass. Moral to my fucking story- send it to one of the guys on here that have proven they have mad skilz and good CS.
