I have a rifle bolt that started giving me some cycling issues and I took it apart and can't clean out the carbon and rust build up. what the best way to clean the inside of my bolt. thinking of putting it in my sonic cleaner or dry media tumbler. need some help thanks. I have 2500rd threw the rifle and started shooting with a can not to long ago.

My dad told my to try 100% vinegar with backing soda in my sonic cleaner and It worked. It was about a 3hr soak with heat on and a little brushing inside every 30-45 min to get the crud moving. just put it back together with copper anti seize and is back to working order. My issue was I had a very hard bolt throw. It felt like something was jamming the bolt. I will be more attentive to my bolt since I shoot with a can and I may get more carbon build up inside my bolt. Now I will have to do that with my other bolt.It looks like it could use some TLC. Hope this help some one else
