Can someone recommend a good cleaning kit for my nightforce scope? when I go out shooting the lens gets a little dirty due to all the sand and dirt flying around so my original plan was to use low pressure compressed air across the lens (not directly at it) to get rid of dirt particles first. then I would use a q tip dunked in rubbing alcohol to clean the lens and then follow up with the lens cloth that came with my scope. Is that a bad idea or should I go with a reputable lens cleaning kit? Thanks

I agree with lens pen I also got with my ACOG. Have since purchased several others from other manufactures that are exactly the same only different logos. Have worked well for me for years. Crystal lens without scratches. Just use moisture from your breath to get the lens moist for the shammi end ot the pen.

Instead of compressed air (canned air) try a camera lens bulb looks like one of those snot sucker things for babies that are congested .Giotto makes a nice one that can stand on its own or check the baby section for one that is cheaper .

Used to use canned air on my DSLR lenses. The trick is to use short bursts and keep the can upright at all times. That being said, I've switched to LensPens exclusively and couldn't be happier.
