I have a vortex viper and its been great now that I'm used to it. The only problem is I live in arizona and as you can imagine its super sandy. So today I looked at the optics are both covered in a light layer of sand. Obviously thin enough that its not effective the view drastically, but who knows. How can I clean this? I have done a search and only came up with people suggesting specialized wipes made by gun companies. Just like most things Im guessing its extremely similar to a common cheap item but after the word gun was put on it the price went X5.
So is there Anything I can use to clean it safely? I have microfiber towels, or the little special silky knapkin that came with my glasses. What about fluid wise? I need to find a way to keep the glass tidy since Im in arizona, but also not damage the actual glass.
Thanks!
