cmmg conversion kits?

never converted an AR to .22 before, been looking at these kits, anyone have some input on these? any problems shooting a .22 in a .223 bore? Thanks, Jim

CMMG, Ciener, and Spike's are slight variations of the same design; actually, CMMG is a direct copy.
All work about the same: usually well, occasionally some tuning is necessary.

Some folks suggest a few rounds of .223 after .22 shooting to blow out the gas tube.

See SpecOps13's sticky on the Rimfire and Pistol Caliber page on AR15.com. He tests LOTS of conversions.

Problem... Bullet stability out of the wrong twist barrel limits accuracy over 25yrds..

If you want the upper to be anything liker accurate you need a barrel matched to the performance of the .22LR cartridge.
