CMP sent out an email that they have 40XB's available, and that it might be their last batch.

For those wanting to make a trainer, this might be right up your alley:
"Remington 40X – Standard Barrel. Barreled Action only. Contains receiver, barrel, bolt assy, trigger group. Does not contain sights, stock, trigger guard, stock bolts, or any other parts. USMC marked"

You can also get the 40XB rimfire bolt from PT&G (it's great) and purchase parts to complete the stripped, barrelled receivers.

FYI guys.

Do you have to have a smith set the ptg bolt?

I am considering one of these 40x's from cmp but kinda wondering how involved rebuilding one can be.

Are all Remington 700 stock compatible with the 40x rimfire? Or are there special stocks for the 40x that replicate the feel of the centerfire stocks?
