Whenever budget allows for it, a box way, slant bed lathe will get your further along than something like what your looking at.

Just better repeatability as the screw is always loaded from gravity.

Steppers equal a big ol’ nope from me. Been there, done that, will not do again.

This CNC lathe is another low end chinese job most likely.

Make sure it takes g-code and the company is still around.

That is an excellent point that I wished I'd of mentioned. Parts, support, and use of common G code.

Been running Fanuc controls for 40 years and ended up buying an oddball teach lathe with Fagor control.
It can run G code or conversational and I have to admit it's not a bad control to learn. Taiwan is usually good to go,
(better than American), Northern China is cheap but not nearly as good.

FWIW: I've owned a Doosan lathe since starting my shop in 2008. I've had to replace a hydraulic actuator...
Fanuc controlled. It's been a very good machine.
