Rifles Only North just completed it's first Field Craft Course in Colorado. We have had folks asking us to teach a field craft course for years and we finally found time in our schedule to fit one in. Attendance was good and the students did a superb job. We covered a number of subjects including: navigation with MGRS, lensatic compass, GPS, and exercises with multiple waypoints. Students also learned cover, concealment, camouflage, observation/identification of targets, small unit movement, basic survival skills and equipment, as well as ghillie suit construction. The last two days of the course were spent combining navigation, observation, reporting, and shooting. We feel this course is about as comprehensive as we can make it for a 5 day class. We are also considering having another class this fall or winter, and possibly adding additional course material for more advanced shooters.

We would like to thank all of the student attendees for making this course a complete success. We had a great time meeting all of you and we especially want to thank you for being diligent about firearms safety. We look forward to hosting more classes at the Colorado location in the near future. We also want to thank Firing Line of Denver, Colorado for all their assistance during the Colorado Field Craft Course.
