Colorado Precision Rimfire Matches

We had a ton of help with set up today. Thanks to every that gets there early to help make sure it happens.

And we got really lucky with awesome weather. Much better than we would have had last Sunday.

Next months matches become avail for signup at midnight tonight. Everyone has been full within a day or two so dont drag your feet signing up.

There is only a few slots left for the Colorado State Tactical Rifle Match at the end of June. Wait too long to sign up and you will be on the wait list. Wait too long to send in payment, and someone on the wait list will get your slot...

See you next month.

With the temps below 20 and single digit wind chills for set up, the morning belly match is a cancel.

The 12:00 PRS match is still a go and it will start around 11:00. Set up will begin around 10:00.

We had a first today. Both matches had a tie for first place, by the same two shooters.

Huge thanks to Paul, Stave and Brian that came down early to help get things set up. Without people helping out, these matches and matches like them cant exist. Speaking of thanks, Charlene didnt shoot the noon PRS match, but stuck around to score the whole thing while we had fun playing.

By popular demand, our precision rimfire belly matches are now a monthly match.

Charlene and Mike made this change happen.

Starting in April 2023, the 4th Saturday is rimfire in Pueblo.

See you there.

what's the format for the rimfire and 600y matches?

At 50, 75, 105, 165 and 220 yards there is a bank of 10 targets. 1.5-3 MOA sized steel hanging from a conveyer belt strap. One shot per target hit or miss. We also have KYL racks at 50 and 100. For the 50, once you miss you are done earning points. At 100 it is a hit to move rack. After 10 shots the targets you have hit is your score.

The 600 is a 5 position/stage match. Prone, Tripod, awkward bench and two more we change up every match. 7 total targets at 600, 300, 410, 465, 600, 600 and 390. When prone you shoot the 1 MOA sized targets, when not prone you shoot the 2-3 MOA sized targets. Like the rimfire match, it is harder to explain than it is to do.

Both matches are a bargain at $15.
