Colt Firearms is to cease rifle production for the civilian market. This will mark the end to some of the most iconic AR-15s ever.

Colt senior VP Paul Spitale indicated the company is shifting away from ARs and toward the class 1911, Colt revolvers, and other guns Americans want for concealed carry. Spitale said:

Sorry bro. This (like most) company's gives no fucks what anyone thinks, unless it fucks with their money. Every decision that they make is for their bottom dollar.
No matter how politically charged it may seem.

Money is the only goal by any means necessary. In this case they saw something wrong with the market and want to exit.
