I have searched the internet but failed to find an answer.

As such, I am asking here.

Do the Colt-style 9mm magazines used for PCCs load top-down like a 5.56mm AR magazine (double stack / double feed) or do they load like a Glock magazine where you push the cartridge down and then slide it in (double stack / single feed)?

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

True double stack like AR/MP5, push down

BTW, try one of each of the Colt styles.... ( Different followers ) DuraMag and Metalform ... some Colt pattern PCC's have different preferences.

And some Brownell's are Metalforms with a fancy slick coating.

If you buy "standard" Metalforms... be sure to clean the interior of the mag body, and the follower. All mine have been "sticky" from anti -rust oils.

    I switched to these mags:
Solid plastic follower so no breaking/bending the bolt-hold-open tabs on Colt/Metalform mags.

The ones that use Glock mags…
I hear you and the agree — for straight blowback the Rock River Arms model that uses the Colt magazines seems most appealing thus far.

CMMG also has a radial blowback version that uses Colt magazines.

However, if there is one thing I have learned from my recent experience with AI, it is often best to go with a system, which in that case points me to PTR’s clone of MP5s.

    Hmm… Decisions. Decisions.

I built a CMMG gun 12 ish years ago when glock mag lowers were almost non existent. Back then Quarter Circle Ten was the cats meow I think.

That being said, my CMMG lower has been flawless on feeding and ejecting. I put my upper together from a CMMG 9mm upper, old surplus colt barrel, and a bcg from a company called Tactical Ambush. I don’t believe the BCG company is in bidness anymore though. The only issues I have ever had with my build is the firing pin spring breaking. I keep a couple on had anyway, so it wasn’t a show stopper.

The bottom gun is the one, and has shot thousands and thousands of rounds. I liked it better than my MP5 clone or Tavor.

It has changed some and now the suppressor mount sits flush with the handguards, and I lost the red dot in favor of flip up sights. It is a registered SBR, stamped it in 13 or so.

RRA sells a complete 9mm upper and an adapter that fits in an AR-15 magazine slot, It uses Colt 9mm magazines. I have one and it works perfectly, Very accurate and almost no recoil.
RRA use to build 9mm M-16s for the FBI and other Govt agencies from what I have read.
