Good evening, a friend of mine just gave me an upper tonight, and was wondering a few things. It has a C and a M on the right side of the upper receiver. It has just a C stamped on the bolt carrier, and it has a C MP with on the barrel. Is this a colt upper, bcg, and barrel? I cant post pictures, sorry. Thanks guys for your responses...Mark.

Re: Colt upper

I would guess... with the prices I've seen today, ballpark of around $600ish or so? Of course it comes down to what people would pay for it.

If it were me I'd buy it if it were posted for 600-800 high side, with a reasonable # of rounds thru it (less than 1000)

Oh I didnt mean it literally.... sorry.

What I should have said was if I "needed" one then I would pay around 600 for the upper with its bolt/BC group, which is a deal in this day and age.

... But I have enough ARs.

Re: Colt upper

no worries, dont want to sell it anyway, I'll take a gift like this anyday. extra nice that its a Colt, but I dont know that they are any better than any other good upper, but some guys might argue that point.

Re: Colt upper

Some Colt lowers have 0.250" diameter front pin, some have 0.311" diameter front pin.

Measure diameter of front take down pin hole, if it is 0.311" you'll need an adapter kit to fit that upper to lower other than Colt.
