Hey guys, I am looking for some input. Just moved to Columbia, SC and have yet to find a range or local shooting comps that support long range. I currently can only reach out to 300yds where I am shooting and obvious need more! Looking for the local "spots" and/or ranges that support beyond 300 and up to 1,000. Any information would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Columbia! Sandlapper in Gaston has 600 yards, Clinton House in Clinton has a 1000 yard range and Todd Resource Management in Chesterfield has a 1000 yard range. Clinton House and Todd Resource Management hold matches at their locations. You can find them on facebook.

Clinton house has out to a mile now. I think they charge by the hour.

Sandlapper is a nice range and out to 600.

Todd has out to 525 yards with plans of going to a 1000.

PM me if you have any questions.

I know Government Training Institute in Barnwell has a lot to offer shooters. They primarily do training for now, including shooting to distance off a 13 story tower, but they are planning on hosting some matches as well. Give them a call, super friendly guys.

I am surprised by the lack of PRS style local matches in SC. I haven't been able to find anything under 3 hours from Greenville. I reached out to Panteo and understand they will try hosting one once range upgrades are complete.

Wheaton Arms has done this one:

I'm going to email them and see if they are doing it in 2019.

2020 will be totally different match wise in SC.

As of right now, Richard Todd resource management is having a one day match in chesterfield March 30.
