Many people on the Hide already know I am a night vision dealer, but I didn't post about it out of respect for Frank and his house, as I was not a sponsor.
I own a small, 100% Service-Connected disabled company called Night Combat Solutions. I started out as a contractor for several night vision (and related) companies doing product evaluation. I now also do sales, and will have a website up in a week or two.
I am an Armasight distributor, and a dealer for other companies. As such, I will be representing Armasight on the forum to answer any product questions and provide a sales outlet through my company. I will be posting video reviews regularly as I carry and have thoroughly tested all their higher end products. I only carry products that I have put to use in the field and believe in. This means I don't sell Gen 1 night vision. I will also be reviewing other night vision and related gear that I carry such as mil-spec units (PVS-15's, 14's, 12's, CNVD-LR's, etc.), helmets, mounts, illuminators, and so on. I will also run group buys on occasion for certain units so that hiders can get an even better deal.
I will also be hosting demo nights where Hide members can come hang out and play with some NV/Thermal.
I have a great relation ship with many of the prominent dealers, and call some of them friends, which is not a word I use casually. So that said, what I'm not here to do is get into petty arguments in an effort to boost my sales. Slandering another industry professional is not a part of my business model, so if you see anything that comes off as such, please bring it to my attention and I will ensure that I offer an apology and will remove said comment.
To all the pals I have from the hide, whether we have hung out in person, or not, I appreciate the support you have given my family and I to get to this point. It is a huge blessing to be providing for my family again and not have them relying on disability from the VA to get from month to month. Thank you guys, sincerely.
That said, please feel free to ask me anything about any of the Armasight equipment, or anything else I may have. As previously stated, I don't sell gen1, so I may not be much help there. PM me here, or contacted me via my other comms in my sig line.
Just so this isn't so boring....Ill post up some pictures.
Thanks to you all,
Aaron
Here is a micro thermal Armasight debuted at SHOT. It is in production now. It utilizes a 640X480 FLIR Tau2 core and offers an amazing image. There will also be a 336 version. Helmet, head, and weapons mountable. Just for a size comparison, that is a CR123 battery compartment.
This is the NYX-14 PRO. It is a MUM sized monocular that can be had in gen2 or gen3 variations. It has multiple hard mounts and like the MUM, it is waterproof. In addition it has a tiny class 1 laser built in. This was built with LE in mind, where an officer may want to point out someone to a team mate, but the person in question hasn't done anything to deserve being flagged with a weapon. It has come in useful more places than I would have guessed once I started testing it. To top it off, it is cheaper than a PVS-14, with excellent optics, ruggedness....and it has become one of, if not my favorite monoculars due to the above stated features.
Here is the Drakos II class 1 IR laser. It has High/Low settings that can be activated with the "fire" button on the unit or with the remote, wireless pressure switch. The IR and vis lasers are slaved, making adjustments more convenient.
And the T-MAIM. The version pictured is a claser 3 IR/slaved vis, and focusable laser illuminator. The left side has a rail for attachment of a white light. It is the size of a PEQ-15, but with an aluminum body. I am pushing for a reasonably priced class 1 version which is in the works, so a show of hands who would be down with one.
