Compare Viper HD to Razor HD binos and spotter

Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to compare the two HD offerings from Vortex in the Binos and Spotter side by side. I cant decide which will get more use between the binos or spotter, and I also cant decide if I should spend the extra coin for the Razor.

The $1000 question is what is the application?

For hunting my choice is bino's, and personally I like the ones like my Steiner's that are set up with individual ocular adjustments and no focus. Once they are adjusted for you they work.

If you want a high mag spotter for hunting weight is a concern, you don't want to be dragging a 5 lb spotter + tripod into the field, and for a high mag scope you need a good pod.

Hunting and just general observation would be the use, I dont have a dedicated use for them per-say.

My bigger concern is the difference between the razor and viper, if its negligable then I could just get both binos and spotter. But if Im going to be a lot happier with the Razor, Id just get one for now.

The Viper binos are more compact in size than the Razors and are excellent for the price. For a spotter I'd say the Razor takes the bag, but depending on your budget both are nice.

Kind of wondering the same thing.
I still haven't found a review on the Viper HD spotting scopes yet. Hopefully someone will get something posted out there to give an idea on how well they perform.

Can't comment on the new Viper HD stuff or the binos, but I would buy another Razor spotter without a doubt. Yes, it's a large spotting scope, but for the money it really shines.

The Viper HD stuff is really new and just getting out there, so it could be awhile before we see a track record and alot of meaningful reviews.

Yeah, at the time I posted this I didnt realize the Viper HD was still a month out. Would really love to get a look through both to make a decision.

On the lower powers the Viper HD spotter hangs pretty close with the Razor, but once you get above 35x(give or take) the Razor walks away from the Viper.

That being said the ViperHD is pretty amazing for what it sells for.
