Comparing Eagle bag to Allen buttstock pouch

I got an Eagle bag in 2008 from Eagle for $48 delivered.
Now they seem to be out of them.
Don't even list an SKU 350002 Shooter's Stock Pack Rifle
Color: Woodland Camo
Hand: Right

Triad lists them, but out of stock.

I found an alternative at amazon, the Allen buttstock pouch

That is ~ $12 delivered

Differences I can find:
1) The 3 loops on the bottom are magnetic on the Eagle and plastic on the Allen.
2) The part that touches the face on the Eagle feels like velvet, and that part on the Allen feels like cotton weave.

On safari, you could fill the pouch with Krugerrands for tipping the girl that cleans your hut.
Keep tipping her until your butt is in balance.

Ive got both and there is definitely a difference in quality. The allen works but is no where near as nice as the eagle.

The quality problem I had with the Eagle bag was that the Velcro was sewn on backwards for the butt strap.

It had to be ripped out and re sewn.

I called Eagle about it and some female voice was sympathetic.

The Allen seems ok in terms of workmanship defects.

I did see a windshield wiper controller from the J.C. Whitney catalog, with the $5 "mist" feature. The dual one-shot integrated circuit that was incorrectly connected by the printed wiring board. To fix that, I cut the trace, and soldered a jump wire. I called up J.C. Whitney and talked to a manager. I said, "There is no way any of the controllers you are shipping have that feature working."
I was told, "We get those from China, and we have no way of telling them if there is a quality problem."

China just throws crap over the fence.
