Compass Lake upper is in.

@MJF - did you go mid gas and an adjustable block or something else?

I was just about to order parts to put my own together (just need barrel and matched bolt) and bought a full rifle instead.

Looks darn good, stoked to see how it shoots!

Mercervillerental - I'm going to handled for it. I have a bunch a 55g Vmax loads for my varmint gun I'll use to break in the barrel. After that I have 77g SMKs and 8208 XBR . I got lucky and was able to purchase 500 pieces of .223 brass last week. I'll load up some for the ladder test once the barrel is broken in.

Powdahound76 - I went with the standard gas block. I'm behind enemy lines so no suppressors for us.

The 77 smks are shooting good for me as well, pretty consistently half moa with 24 gns of varget, didn’t do as well with h4895. I want to try the Berger 77 otms and maybe 70 gn vlds. My is an 18’ Douglas 7 twist. I’m planning on using it at mammoth as the secondary rifle

Here are the other five groups I shot at the same time. The top three are Winchester 69gr and the bottom three are the Laups 69gr. Mine is a 20in with a 1/7.7 twist. The upper is a Vltor MUR with an unknown bolt and handguard. As you see I kind of lost it at the end.

Great shooting! Today I'm giving the upper a Dura Coat camo job to match the lower it is going on. If I am not working next Sunday I'll head to the range and try it out.
