How do you create a link. Say you have a yahoo story and you dont want to cut and paste, how do you create a link.

Also, how do you cut a small portion out of a you tube (or any other) video or movie. And turn that into a link.

Ive seen it done here and would like to learn how.

    Thanks

    Maggot,

On the 'Full reply screen', there is a small toolbar of options above the message box. The first on the left is a 'smiley face' and the second is an 'earth with a chain-link' on it.

That 'earth with a chain-link' on it, is the "add-a-link" option. First, you would "copy" the actual link you want to post, then you would click on the "add-a-link" button. A window will open with a 'nearly' empty address bar. You "paste" your link into THAT address bar, and click 'OK'. That will then open another 'nearly' address bar.

It is on that second address bar, that you enter the "title" or "name" or whateveryouwanttocallit of the link you are posting.

Then you click "OK" and you're done. That is for adding a link.

How you add a short clip of something, I have no idea without using scissors.

That help? And yeah, it was Switch who learned me how to do that, long ago.

    Re: Computer question.

Beneath every youtube video there is a button that says "Share." Click that button. In the menu that pops up, there is a little check box that says "Start at" with a box next to it for a time value. Check that box, and enter the time you want the video to start at. After that, all you have to do is copy the link above the box and you're gtg.
