Does anyone have a good solution for Concealed Carry when you are out running/exercising? Not a pack that bounces around and is a constant source of irritation if you are out for a multi-mile run. Any suggestions?

If I am going for a long haul then I carry my G26 in my Camelbak. If I am just doing a couple miles around home then I clip a large folder or my KelTec P3AT into my waistband.
I used to keep the G26 in a "fanny pack" but it was a little too bulky. I would like to try the Eagle "Runners Pack" since it's designed to carry a handgun. The Glock model is not shown on their website, but the J-Frame version is.

Boy, I can't see how any type of pack would be at all comfortable for more than a mile or two, but if there is such a pack, I'd buy one. My current self defense strategy while running is to go really early morning while most bad guys are still sleeping....

Im with Erud.. run early! I never carry while i work out but I dont know where you live it may be necessary but dont forget if you ever had to use your gun you wont have time to unzip or take off a pack.

Don't live your life in condition white and you will have time. Although that's a harder fix than buying a cool holster. It actually requires a lifestyle change.
As far as running with a pack. After spending years running with an ALICE pack and sandbag on my back a liter or two of water is nothing. It's nice to have if you are pushing more than a couple miles in blazing heat.
Carrying a weapon is a personal decision. However just think about every post-critical incident interview you have ever heard. Somewhere in there is usually a "I never though it would happen to me". When you assume that you have made yourself safe is when reality takes a big shit on you. Just because it didn't hit the news, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Burglaries and muggings take place in nice neighborhoods too because the thugs know that's where the money is.

GTriever has a good post. I have one of those and carry a Glock 27 in it. Normally on a daily basis I carry a Wilson CQB, but it is too big for the item mentioned above. The 27 works fine.

I have a thumb break IWB for exercise carry, and carry a Lwt CCO. it doesn't seem overly cumbersome.

Use to carry a Bersa 380 cc in a shoulder harness underneath my wind jacket, not comfortable.

"If" I carried when I go on a long run (or on my bike that cost as much as my GAP rifle & scope) I would shy away from anything that looked tacticool (OD Eagle belt for example). There are some runners fannypacks with water bottle that "will" also fit a small pistol. What I have

The Eagle pack is not available in OD. It's actually gray and was designed to look similar to currently available running gear (at least that was the word from Eagle). You can also get it in black which accounts for the other 50% of runners packs/bottle carriers, etc. If you really want to camouflage it then sew a Nike or other running gear patch on it and drive on.
As for looking "tacticool" I guess I am screwed. I am usually wearing an old Marine Corps t-shirt or hoodie and my haircut doesn't help either.

Some guys like the chest holsters from Survival Sheath Systems worn under a t-shirt or the like:

The Eagle Running holster mentioned above is a nice low profile option too, it doesn't scream gun and it well thought out. I used this when I was LE. With a S&W 642 in it it's pretty comfortable.

the only way I have found to be comfortable is to buy a nice ankle holster. I then weight the ankle holster and weapon of choice. For me its a little kel-tec. After weight check go to the sports store and get the cooresponding ankle weight. I live in washington so its not a big deal for me to wear some light weight running pants but if its hot you may not want to. I like wearing pants. To me its comfortable. You get a better overall workout and you are very well protected. My ankle hoster is very solid and doesnt move no matter what I am doing. You dont want to buy something that will be loose around the ankle as that would bother you. Good luck.

I have always wondered what the Secret Service used when George Bush Jr. was in his running craze. He did 3 miles in 21 minutes. Pretty good pace, and his protective detail ran with him. Yes, I know there was support all around, but many clients want security to run with them.

I avoid the pistol and run with a rungu club I picked up in Tanzania. I've never had to use it on an aggressive dog, but I don't want to think about what it's capable of in a full swing.
On short hikes, I put a Wilson Sentinel in the outer pouch of a Camelback. If you repeat reaching over your strong side shoulder, it's not hard to find the pistol grip within the pouch for a decent draw.
I avoid the pistol and run with a rungu club I picked up in Tanzania. I've never had to use it on an aggressive dog, but I don't want to think about what it's capable of in a full swing.

if out jogging i carry my glock 22 on my ankle most people ner look at ur feet or ur legs and my joggin pants are a lil baggy, but what ive seen is ppl not training how to use a ankle holster. its not hard just different

I guess if you went with equal weighting on both legs it would just be a different feal and a person would adjust to it. I personally would recommend the little Keltec in 32 ACP with an extended grip and a pocket clip attached for a secure hold.... I think mine is an awesome pistol for it's design.. I wear it all summer long with elastic band shorts and it feals like a set of keys.. Accuracy is awesome.. I can get about a 4" group at 15 yards freehand and having fun and not even trying very hard.. There are not many little ultralight weapons with tiny barrels that have that kind of accuracy... Just my opinion..SmokeRolls

In the summertime if you wore some of these things you will have a heat stroke. Some of the runners fanny packs seem to be a pretty good idea, especially because the added water compartments, but I hate carrying a water bottle on my runs, the sloshing drives me nuts. I'm not sure what the answer is...I just hope nothing happens and try to rely on my own ability to handle myself...and find an equalizer fast!

Yep, the Shooting Systems Running holsters are good to go!! Thats what I'd suggest if you really feel like you have to have a gun when you run. If it were me, I'd try to find a school track or something and not worry about having to carry.

Yeah, just depends on when & where. This time of year it is easy, however during the summer in south Texas long running pants or even a camelback is too much of a heat penalty when you are doing any kind of distance. Maybe not for you young guns, but after I cleared 40 I need all the help I can get.
If you're marathon or half-iron training a track is only good for your warmup/cooldown. OK for interval runs but anything longer than a couple miles drives me nuts.
Maybe I'm just weak minded, but I hate to run the same loop over and over. If I'm running over 8 miles, or even shorter when it is smokin out during the summer, I'll drop a water bottle or two in stashes along my route from my truck the night before I run just so I do not have to loop back by the house multiple times....also my yellow lab Haley can hang with me up to ~12 miles depending on the temp so I have to carry/provide water for her too, and that little bitch can go through some water.

I usually don't carry while running but if I do its a airweight .38 in a tourist looking fanny pack. I find if you cinch it snug and move it to the side it doesn't bounce into your junk like it does in the front. I've started carrying more often, especially when I jog at night.

I don't run but walk a lot with family and cycle. My "go to" is back pocket carry with an untucked shirt over a SC 9mm Sig P290RS. Holster is a Desantis Super Fly. 2nd way is a Beretta Pico .380 front right pocket. No matter what time, I'm never on the street exercising without being armed.
Not in this century. I have had folks in cars stop and harass me or out and out try and run me off the road or run me over. Scream fithy shit at me out of car windows, cut me off. I can't see how anyone would be comfortable running/cycling without being armed.

I do a run every day while being pulled to my impending doom by two large hounds who's idea of exercise is to see how fast they can go while chasing suburban game when dragging the weight of a human behind them. It makes for a great cardio workout sometimes. Usual distance is 1 to 2 miles with lots of stops, starts and bursts.
I've tried lots of things to carry stuff with me (including water for the dogs) while this is going on and in the end the only thing that I have found which works is to get a small thin backpack such as the CamelbaK one
It HAS to have two shoulder straps, a waist band and a chest tightening band.
Once put on and secured, I find it pretty easy to carry several pounds of weight without a problem during a mix of walking, stopping, jogging, running, sprinting, trying to move your legs fast enough to not die.
What does NOT work at all is the single strap sling type... those are the worst.
The important features are dual shoulder straps, the strap to tighten up at your chest and the strap to tighten up at either waist or lower stomach level.

DeSantis belly band with a Ruger LCP. Wear it over a tight fitting t shirt with another loose t shirt over it. No chaffing. No problems for over 2 years.
