Having my first Tactical rifle built. Action is premium short action custom with 20 MOA machined as part of the action. I assume this means that parallelism is not a problem so what other reasons could there be for adding a premium 1 piece mount with rings to it rather than individual premium rings.

I'm no expert on one piece mounts, but I have the Ken Farrell, BO and TPS 20 MOA rails and they're not all made to the same height. BO shorter than TPS, TPS shorter than KF.
I think that with an integral 20 MOA rail, adding a 1 piece mount might make things a bit higher off the action, but whether this bothers you, or not, I can't say.
I understand the simplicity of the Spuhrs, NightForces, LaRues and the like, but I prefer decent quality rings.
