ok guys, thinking about the PX4I for a hunting and target scope for a 6.5 CM. Doing a search here for info. I found alot more for sales, than review, opinion type threads.
If its such a good buy, why has so many members sold thiers? Thats making second guess the scope for something else in that price range.

I was just wondering if there was a reason, something they found once in thier hands they didn't like.
Oh, and yeah there "could" be a correlation.

Correlation can be applied to anything. It could be that a proportionally larger number are sold new, which leads to a higher number on the used marketplace. I also see a large number of Bushnell, Vortex, Nightforce, etc. on the PX. Has no bearing on whether they are good scopes or not. From what I have seen here the Steiner is a fantastic scope and you won't go wrong with it. Just compare it to your checklist of things you want in a scope and if it matches, get it. Remember, correlation does NOT imply causation...

DLO had a good write up/video on the steiner. Basically, it's a good scope for the money (at a sub $1000 price) but overpriced when initially put out by steiner. It's also has some quirky features which may turn off some people. For example, 4-16x with a 34mm tube and a 56mm objective is an odd combo only matched by some really expensive scopes (hensoldt https://www.hensoldt.net/products/optronics/4-16x56-ff-lt-long-range-telescopic-sight/). Check out his video on the subject.

The only problem that people seem to have with them, and it applied to me at first also, is the stuff elevation turret. They do break in, albeit annoying that it isn't good to go from the factory. The optics are excellent for the price, and compared to most scopes 2k and under it seems to perform on par with all of them to my eyes. It's a great bang for the buck.
