First contest of the year for us (held in Philip,SD) and we came out on top with 10. A couple long range shots sure helped since 2nd place had 8. Day started out in the low 30's but got in the 60's in the afternoon which resulted in the yotes coming to the call a little lazy-like.
The long range ones were 480, 755, & 850.
My calling partner had to work cattle for the first part of the day so I had to fly solo for a while.. He was there to witness the 850,, only reason I tried the shot was because of it being the last stand of the day, running out of light, and the pair we had coming just quit us. Put in 18moa and held for 40 inches of drift and pressed the jewell,,, plop,,, giggle.
