Sidearms & Scatterguns Cool little gizmo for pistolsmiths

Last fall I was down at a military vehivles
Get-together and I ran into a guy who makes cool tools for pistolsmithing. We chatted and I showed him a 1911 I built and he sent me, gratis, a bunch of cool tools, including this gem!

1911 (and others) building rig.

Not sure how I got along without this… but wow is it well thought-out. Also, the bushing tool he does is genius. It cams the detente in and keeps it from flying across the room.

His address and the like are in the paper. I have no stake in this company, but the owner is an awesome dude and a fellow shooter and military vehicle guy. Great to talk to and I wish him huge success with innovative products.

If you are into 1911 smithing… cool stuff.

I haven't worked on a 1911 in a long time, but this seems like a sweet tool that'd be really nice to have if/when I do again. Thanks for sharing!

That's a very nice tool to use. I haven't worked on a 1911 in 100 years, but I would buy it if I did.
