It was a not a DSLR camera though, just a typical point and shoot made by Panasonic. At the time of purchase it was about $350 which I would think is a little "higher end" for a point and shoot. That camera produced some really great photos for the type of camera it is. The key was it had a Leica lens, which are known for excellent quality and great photos.
Edit...The camera is very similar to this one...may even be this one. I haven't seen it in about a year so I can't be sure.

Yep, thats a goat in a tree. The little critters will eat the leaves right off a Live Oak. Taken at my place in Llano, Texas with a cheap disposable.

This is a Delta IV-Heavy launching the NROL-49 mission for the NRO. It was taken from the VAFB Gun Club which was the closest public observation site (~8 1/2 miles from the launch pad). FWIW, the rocket is 235 feet tall so you can cypher out how long the flame trail is beneath it...
This is an test of a MInuteman III that went late after some downrange weather cleared (normally Minuteman shots launch at ~0200). We were closer for this shot, only about 3 1/2-4 miles from the launch facility.
This is an Atlas V launching the NROL-41 mission for the NRO on 9/20/10. HH6 took it from about 3 1/2 miles away--there was a solid cloud deck about 1,000' up and when the rocket broke through there was enough light for her camera to fire again.
All of these were taken with HH6's Nikon D90 and her 70-300mm. lens at varying focal lengths...
