Thinking about doing the copper creek ammo 6.5 Creedmoor "load development pack" 1 and then 2 with the eld-x 143gr as I don't reload. Do any of you have experience with this? What are your thoughts / opinions?

I used him for a little while but was too costly in the long run. My load was a 130gr berger hybrid in alpha brass and h4350 powder. Once the ammo was shipped it came out to $2.7x per round after shipping. It was accurate stuff though!

I don't reload either. Luckily I found Prime to be available where I live and it shoots well in my rifle. Cost is around $1.50 per round, sometimes a little less.

The top round is the one they loaded. The stripe is on it because this was part of a load development pack they did for me.
They would not even feed into the chamber of my Surgeon 308!

NO, I did not ask them to fix the problem....I canceled the order and got my brass back ASAP. The bottom round is the brass I sent them - once fired Lapua.

I do not recommend using them.

Never did load development with him, but run his Gas Gun load in my GAP10. In my gun, it’s extremely accurate. Also ran 200 rounds of his 142SMK load in my AI when it was new. A bit on the slow side, but very accurate albeit pricey.

I thought they were great to work with. I did a load development pack and chose this one from a 300 yard group. Alpha brass 130 hybrid from my tikka. I’d say it’s 4/5 good lol. Expensive for day to day for my average skill though so mostly shoot Prime now.

I concluded they were happy with the product, and I wasn't. Someone else may feel differently. That's why I only post this experience up when someone asks for a review.

I run 6 creedmoor with the Berger 105 HVLD's. Rifle shoots .2moa on a bad day with that ammo.

Have run the 105 Hybrids with almost as good accuracy in the same hunting rifle.

Currently shooting the Sierra 107 load in my tactical 6 creed. Again .25 moa accuracy. I have run the Berger 105 Hybrids in this rifle as well with .25 moa accuracy as well.

I will admit, Hornady shoots well enouph to shoot a match but is a bit slower than Copper Creek.

With all that said, I tried some 7SAUM and it did not shoot. Tried the sample pack and still didnt get the accuracy i was looking for. But I never found it with any other ammunition either so that rifle is another 6 creed now.

CCC did offer reloading, in fact there was tiered pricing depending upon who supplied the brass.

The Lapua brass was once fired (in a Surgeon Scalpel), then annealed by Killshott44. The brass was fine, and is still in use - currently at 6 reloads.

Even a retard could have inspected the loaded rounds and concluded they were badly done. The fact that they can't say "we fucked up" means they haven't come to grips with the fact that they "hand crafted" this garbage and shipped it out. Thus I will continue to show this as an example of their work when reviews of their work are solicited.

What is the final step in loading ammunition? Inspection!

To summarize what you have said:
You didn't offer reloading. But did this time.
You loaded the cartridge in the picture.
You charged the same regardless of whether you provided the brass or the customer.
The only error you made was using my bad brass.

I disagree. I sent you good brass (one piece is in the pic), and you fucked up, in addition, you failed to inspect your work prior to shipping.
Even if I'm fabricating all of the facts, you have admitted that you shipped the cartridge in the picture. You failed to inspect your work.
All 25 of the load development cartridges you did had the same problem. You were perfiectly happy to ship them to me to use.

I'm very glad I took a picture of your work product, or else you'd be able to dismiss the entire episode. Certainly your lack of ownership of the problem indicates this is your first instinct.

Did you miss here where we owned up to the issue publicly? I'll say it again for EVERYONE. We made a mistake. We should have caught that piece of brass before it left our shop. End of discussion.

Moving forward, we do not offer reloading services, we did not offer reloading services when we agreed to perform this job for you in 2015. We clearly should have stuck to our morales and not done this job because here it is over 3 years later and this fly wont quit buzzing in our ear.

I apologize, again, to everyone involved. We made a mistake and it sucks.

I've had good luck with their stuff and everything I have tried shoots good. I decided to get into reloading though so I don't use them anymore. I did have some issues recently with 7 wsm ammo they loaded that has had some deformed case mouths and either chamber hard or won't chamber at all. I did buy this off another member that sold his 7wsm, Copper creek ammo and Corbon ammo as well so I didn't contact copper creek. I am just pulling the few with issues and running through my case prep center to remedy the problem. Here is one example.

With that said, if I ever decide to quit reloading I would go back to using them. They are a great source for custom ammo and are pretty good about getting it out in a timely manner.

I wanted to share my experience.
Called copper creek up and told them that I was looking for a match round to shoot in my Rock River 1:8 They said the had a load for the 70rdf that would work so we went with that. I believe it was hornady brass. I had a local match coming up and this rifle had shot great with everything I ran through it from factory 50 and 53 grain vmax to fggm 77’s and It will put a whole box of prime through a dime sized hole with awesome numbers to boot...so I ordered 200rds.

When I went to zero and chrono it for the match I was pretty disappointed. It hovered just over an inch but the bad part was the numbers... 2575fps avg and SD was 44 with an ES of 144! I really don’t find that acceptable for $2 a round

I don’t think that are a bad company and I would try them again but my advice would be to if you buy some of there ready to go loads ( I can’t speak for their load devopment packs ) to try a box first before you get to carried away and order a case worth.

On the good side their customer service is great and from ordering to getting to my door was only three days! (Awesome)

I'm going through their Stage One and Stage Two packs now for 6.5 Creedmoor. The first delivery was set to the wrong cartridge length for my specified bullet (120gr) and I discovered that at the range when my bolt wouldn't close. I informed them of the problem and got an email reply by that evening (it was a Sunday) saying they made a mistake and would send me a new set of 25 rounds correctly loaded, and to get rid of the first batch--the new set arrived 3 days later. Measured the COAL and CBTO--perfect and exactly the same for all. Shot well and my best group was obvious. Received Stage Two this week but haven't yet shot it. But I did measure the rounds--five seating depths and the CBTO is perfectly stepped.

Expensive? Yes, but with this kind of quality and responsive service I'm happy to pay for it! Plus, once you find the best load and bullet seating for your rifle, they offer to send you that data after you purchase at least 100 rounds. You can then load your own with those 'magic numbers' and never buy another round from CC.

Errors? Of course--they are hand loaded by humans, so it's going to happen once in a while. But obviously they will make it right if you bring it to their attention.

Finally, there are WAY more positive comments about CC than negative ones everywhere I've looked. Do your research and go with the evidence.

Won't get to Rayners until next month to see how they perform at distance from my 1/10 twist AI AXMC 300 win mag. Biggest complaint - one plastic container, the retaining tab was broken cool. Since I do not hand load will be ordering more. Happy Customer!

Yes, my plastic tabs were broke on 3 cases also.

I ordered some 6.5x284Norma for the hunting season. Velocity pretty spot on. Zeroed rifle, changed velocity in my kestrel to match advertised drop at 800 yards. Dead on. I been taking cold bore shots when i can to confirm, I continue to be within 2'' at 800 yards.

Copper creek ammo is very accurate. I purchased some for my Tikka CTR. 260 when I had just broken in the barrel. It was the only one hole group I've ever shot. I tried a box of 140 a max, 139 scenars (if I remember correctly), and the 130 Berger VLD. All were with lapua brass. All shot very well. The Berger was 1 hole group is my best of all 5 shot groups. However, the affordability of other match ammo was my reason for trying Hornady match and Prime. The Copper Creek quality was outstanding though.

I’m new to the forum and new to Copper Creek Cartridge. I ordered the Stage 1 Development pack for a .243 using Lapua brass and Berger 95gr. VLD Hunting bullets. Two of the five colors produced excellent results with one producing sub .5 MOA results. Which I probably could have gotten even better with a better target. So I ordered two boxes of the purple loads and just received them. They were around $106.00 for the 2 boxes delivered. I probably have around $1,800 in my rifle and put in good time maintaining it and shooting it. If these loads can consistently do .5 MOA or better I don’t see how the factory ammo at .90/round cheaper is something I’m going to complain about. Plus, I have yet to find a factory load that will do much better than 1 MOA. I mostly use my rifle for hunting and I want absolute confidence in where my bullet is going so I will pay a premium for that. If I’m shooting a hog in the ear at 200 yards, I want it in the ear, not somewhere near the ear. Reloading is not an option for me because of my lack of time for it. As well, spending $1,000 or more for the equipment plus my time will more than pay for the premium to have CCC do that for me. So I’m a big fan so far. I’ll let you all know if the loads are consistently as awesome as the test pack load.

I’ve ran some load packs from them and also some of the 153 a-tips when they first came out for my 6.5 they all shot great in several of my guns, I have a pack of 147 eldm and 153 a-tips waiting for me as we speak to take out to the range soon hopefully, and I always have mine loaded with the lapua brass so I can reload at a later time once I decide to start doing some reloading myself
