Cops serve baseless warrant on Afroman, find nothing, steal his money, then Afroman makes music video out of raid footage, cops mad!

No one else noticed in the song where he said “why narcotics and kidnapping? Wait, I know why narcotics, but why kidnapping?” (Paraphrased.)

I noticed that, but does that mean he does interact with narcotics or just that he works in an industry that stereotypically interacts with narcotics? Even if he does and admits it, without evidence, it doesn’t matter.

He absolutely could be throwing shade at a systemically racist institution (policing). He is certainly trolling the police. Like I said, I don’t know one way or the other. I did really appreciate the line “why you stealing my worked hard, paid taxes, money.”

But, if it looks like a duck, has feathers and webbed feet, quacks like a duck, hangs out with ducks, and flys in formation every spring and fall… it’s probably a duck. Even if it makes a song that says it isn’t a duck…

Too bad for him but Nicaragua is a communist socialist shithole run by a dictator terrorist. When congress or a president doesn't play (or wants no trail leading to them) you have to get the money in other ways. Not legal ones like we have now by Biden giving away billions of dollars to Ukraine another shithole.

Which brings us to the fentanyl epidemic. I wonder what is being funded with that?

Burden of proof is on the state, not the citizen.

That is the reason why we don’t (yet) live under the tyrannical notion that if you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about?

The song is hilarious but this is the shit that makes people hate the king’s men. WTF is the kidnapping allegation about? Why did they disconnect his cameras? That’s an admission that they knew they were up to no good. As for asking why he has cameras in the first place, why the fuck wouldn’t he? In this day and age it’s stupid to not. I’ve got em all over the house, inside and out, garage, gun room, and pointed at the safes.

2010?

IIRC a bit west of Salina. Just east of a State Police/DEA station and garage which they took my car to to tear it apart. It was pretty clear this is a regular occurrence.

I-70? There’s some idiots that have patrolled that road. Like this ass clown:

No idea if true in this case, but many of our search warrants include the seizure of residential DVR’s and other surveillance recording devices if they’re suspected of conducting illegal narcotics activities on the property. Unplugging the DVR could just be simple evidence collection…especially since he obviously got the DVR back from the police once the DA determined there wouldn’t be charges filed, or he wouldn’t have the video to post online. Just my common sense assessment.

Which is why you have a decoy DVR so the corrupt cops can't try to vanish the evidence and say it "broke"
Also perhaps an automatic upload to a server in Russia or China or somewhere the corrupt, crooked USA courts can't try to shut it down.

Much like the evil police (including some time back a member here boasting about it) trying to seize cell phones from people who record police brutality and misconduct. Fortunately live streaming and live uploads rendered that kind of evil pointless.

The police love to destroy and try to suppress and hide any video evidence of their evil.

It wasn't just that deputy it was a concerted effort between several different sheriffs to rob the armored cars under the guise of authority (IE it's legal under state law but still illegal under Fed Controlled Substance Act therefore we can seize the money). When that deputy initially pulled over one of the armored vans they realized the company was returning through Kansas with money from marijuana business in Missouri or something so they stopped them on the return trip and stole all the money. There was a sheriff doing it in California too.

Both of these law enforcement departments did this several times until they had stolen a little over a million dollars.

One of the articles I read said the Kansas crew had stopped the same truck/company a couple of times. I haven’t seen that multiple Kansas Sheriff’s were involved. What I read leads me to believe it was a DEA Agent and a Deputy from the Dickinson County SO that were doing this. I haven’t seen that other Kansas agencies were involved in targeting armored cars following federal guidelines - not to say they weren’t. Regardless, it’s a black eye for Kansas LE (And California, but I have no direct ties to them).

They didn’t even find anything… nothing.

It's a black eye for sure but not unheard of either. Lots of people saw the one where they robbed a veteran of his life savings:

Seizing money from an armored car is crazy.

Weren't you a LEO?
Qualified immunity is playground shit compared to the bullshit that the Robe wearing lawyers have concocted to protect themselves. Judicial Immunity, look it up
Judges have far too much power......and really the thing that was to be the last check against stupidity has been taken over by stupidity.

I do say there are some good ones out there, but for the most part just like everything else the higher you go the more bent it gets.

It’s bizarre to me that civil asset forfeiture is presumptive. Where in the constitution does it say that government is allowed to steal your stuff and it’s only returned after you overwhelmingly provide that you are innocent.

Because when the government wants to do an end run around the constitution, the courts, the police and the politicians are happy to engage in extreme feats of twisted logic loops and insane arguments to make it happen.

Essentially the government claims (with the agreement of the Cowardly, Corrupt, Compromised and Complicit courts) that the "Property" as in your money or your stuff, is actually it's own entity and the "property" has been suspected of committing a crime and well property doesn't have any rights so they can do what they want and it's bizzaro backwards french style law now.

So to get it back, you have to prove to them that your "property" didn't commit a crime and was not part of a crime.
Oh and then you have to also prove that it's yours as well.
Oh and you have to pay a bond and put up a bunch of money and hire a lawyer and they are under no obligation to tell you how to get your stuff back or any time limits or give you any notice.
As you can imagine, proving you didn't commit a crime is a lot of work.

It's one of the reasons I detest many Uniform Hangers and freely call them bandits with badges.

But like many things, the "good people" BROUGHT IT ON THEMSELVES!
Oh we don't like someone doing drugs so let's give the government unlimited power to cut through the constitution and wage war on our fellow citizens.
Government pinky swears they will never abuse said power.

Nobody bothered understanding how well that worked out for Prohibition....

Much like all the stupid clamouring fools who begged for the 16th amendment because they wanted so badly to stick it to those evil 1% rich
Government pinky swore that it would only ever affect the "Evil Greedy 1% rich bastards"
How'd that work out for the country? To think once upon a time people didn't have to worry about the IRS at all.

But "good folks" never understand and are always happy to give the government ever more power, like with the stupid drunk driving hysteria where all kinds of civil liberties were simply squashed for good, or the terrorism hysteria where we agreed to live under total government control and surveillance forever.

I take it you don’t know about
the IRS
or
Pigs and their
Civil Asset forfeiture?

I know about these things, just a reminder that we’re supposed to have a 4th amendment right. As you mention in your follow up post, those rights are long gone.

People get rightfully offended when the 2nd is under attack, but when congress undermines the other rights I rarely hear much.

Because "good people" tend to be short sighted, too likely to worship the government, law and police, and not understand history.

When congress undermines rights, they always do it to the applause and begging of the stupids who want them to "just get something done" about whatever xxx they are supposed to be upset about.

Freedom doesn't die with a whimper, freedom dies to thunderous applause. Often from the "good folks".

Yep.

And it was "conservatives" that used to back and support this shit back when it was in its infancy. I remember getting into heated arguments with a staunch conservative buddy of mine about this back in the 80s. Back then, he was all for it because it would hurt the "dirtbag scum drug dealers!" which was exactly regurgitation of how it was sold by the purveyors of the scheme. Never mind that the entire idea was to enlarge government and government power, which runs counter to the core idea of conservative=limit .gov power. Stupid. And this guy I argued with was actually super-smart, intellectually, scoring 1600+ on SAT when we graduated high school.
