No human anywhere on this planet needs a second amendment or a permission slip from the state.

Firearms ownership is a basic and inherent human right, but even most pro-gun people approach guns as a privilege for selected groups, which is why we are rapidly losing the gun control issue.

How many times have we heard a "pro-gun" person say "we need to enforce our existing gun laws" or "we need some regulations to keep weapons out of the hands of (pick the name of whatever group the person doesn't like)," yet these same people unconditionally want their own right to be armed as they see fit. If they sincerely and truly believed having a gun is a right, they would be appalled at any mention of firearms regulation.

The reason the gun grabbers are winning is because even the "pro-gun" crowd is busy contemplating which groups of people they would like to see defenseless and which ones they are looking to see become more armed. By building these walls of regulation around their neighbors, the alleged pro-gunners are erecting a prison around themselves.

The end result is that the state wants to see only itself armed, just as the selectively "pro-gun" individual wishes to arm his preferred groups and disarm others.

If gun owners would appreciate the gravity of their beliefs and stop advocating regulations on people they do not like, then the debate would go away. The pro-gunners need to recognize that some things are not up for negotiation.

The laws that I'd like to see enforced, are those where heinous crimes are committed with the use of a firearm. As far as I'm concerned, anyone doing such acts are automatically putting themselves up for the death penalty.

If one wants to wrongfully inflict pain/injury/death on another, then they put themselves on the same electric-chair/noose/firing-squad/needle-bench themselves.

Rehabilitation is for accident victims/injured persons to gain back as many of their abilities as possible. Let's not bastardize the word or delude ourselves into thinking that those in jail/prison/penitentiary/super-maxi(for those heavy-flow days) are possible let alone worthy of, reforming progress.

From my perspective, the 2nd does not come with limitations. I don't see limitations when I read the words as they are written. "The People" have allowed themselves to be 'limited'. Now the question beckons, how "limited" are you going to submit yourselves to be?
