Just as the title states, are these scopes any good? Their new model is a 4-50x75mm objective and is advertised as having ED glass and a 34mm tube!!!

They are used by super secret mall ninjas all over the globe...seriously though, they spread their lying bullshit to the market, and idiots believe them. Trust us on this one...they are a complete waste of money.

The only ED in CS scopes is erector dysfunction.
They take a lousy Chinese made scope and embellish it with some BS story about military contract overruns, then some lies about fantastic optical coatings using elements that don't exist on this planet, and hope a few suckers bite at close to $1k a pop. A few do.

As others have observed and a search would have revealed...the scope are pure garbage in every respect. You'd be better served with some bailing wire and a cardboard paper towel tube for a scope.
Congrats to tacsniper0888 for bringing Countersniper back to the hide. I was wondering how long it would take since the remodel. Guess we cannot escape them.

Agree with all above, one other POS that is sold via a con job is Huskemaw scopes! They cost a lot more (a whole lot more), but are also a cheap piece of chinese crap, sold by some clever marketers-with the help of at least one web site (why? because the advertise on that site). There are a lot of really good scopes around, this site and others can give you a pretty good idea of what is what in a given price range. Good luck.
I've found that though slow and dangerous behind the wheel, countersnipers can serve a purpose. Take a CS scope, breath on it real hard to get the internals to fall out, then fill the empty tube with a warmed up canteloupe, cut to fit, then hump it. Makes a great field FUFU
There was a table full of these at one of the local shows. The fella was doing his best to stack the BS as high as he could. Yeah Man, we shoot these on our 50's and so on and holds groups and tracks well. Find out they are shooting something like 50 yards, with the 50. Invited them to one of our matches at Rayners. Funny how they seemed to get busy piling up the BS to others and conveniently forgot I was even there.
Total junk, if they aren't being used by anyone at a match at least two positions up from last place on the win list then that should be a clue.

I think they're a great value in the current market....where else can you find Bertrillium-Zantitium coated glass AND 5000g shock resistance for under $7k today? /sarcasm
