i picked up a weatherby 30-378 accumark for a long range dear blaster this fall for a fairly reasonable price.

so i picked up a meopta meostar 4-14x44 scope. im trying to figure out the internal adjustment range. all i can find is in the manual and it says "adjustment range - min. 40' 115" can anyone translate how much moa adjustment that is.

the reason i ask is near said if my scope had plenty of internal adjustment, his mount would get me to 1200 yards.

so i ask what slope is built into his hunters 2 ring alpha mount and he will not tell me. he says its proprietary and says if my scope has plenty of adjustment it would get me to 1200 yards???

is there a way i can take some measurements and get the slope once it gets here? figured i might mic the front and back height and get the distance between two and plug that info into an equation and get an answer.

thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Richard wouldn't tell you the cant of his Alpha Hunter? Wow! It's not proprietary if he expects you to dish out the amount he wants for his scope mounts.

yeah though it was kinda strange. he has his rails listed with moa and so on.

there is a testimonial that shows one on a weatherby and the guy in says 10 moa. so im assuming thats what it is.

it was a strange phone call.

anyway, from what ive researched those meopta scopes dont have a lot of adjustment, so im hoping it will get out to 1000 yards with a 10 moa mount.

well, they told me last week when i ordered it that it would ship out monday or tuesday of this week.

it was a phone order and they told me to send them an email and they would send me tracking numbers monday or tuesday.

after i got off the phone from placing my order, i sent them an email with all my info, and what i ordered and to this day no reply.

i checked my credit card and there is no charge from them.

is this the typical NEAR experience? if so, im wondering how they stay in business.

i was planning on ordering a rail/3 ring alpha mount if i liked this but ive changed my mind. im kinda hoping they dont send anything now and im going to go with a ken farrel rail and seekins rings.
