Hunting & Fishing Coyote Bait?

Re: Coyote Bait?

You might pickup road kill. My son disposes of a lot of road kill deer in our area. The roadkill makes a lot of wild animals happy and keeps the coyotes frequenting the area.

Re: Coyote Bait?

Yeah not too many of those here in AZ! I read on predatormasters forum about an old guy cooking a piece of bacon over sterno to bring em in! Yeah the product looked like a load of crap....literally and figuratively!

Re: Coyote Bait?

I've been having problems with rabbits in my garden and have a live trap set. I plan to take it to one of my coyote spots, stake into the ground, and set my foxpro near to it. I'm planning to let the yote get the rabbit and associate that sound with food. Come back and get when the coat is full.

It will probably be a waste of time but I'll use it as an excuse to get out in the field.

Re: Coyote Bait?

This stuff
Predator Pile

I bought a bag of it when it was on sale at cabelas for like $9.99. Still have yet to use it in a year, so no review yet.
I haven't been hunting the same areas frequently enough to benefit from baiting at the moment.
