Exactly. I been in the power industry 29 years and now operate the power grid for parts of 7 states. What Biden is saying will not work and no way in hell are there millions of jobs to be made in the power industry.

I know most of the people here don't deal with chemicals but if you only knew the amount of chemical intermediates (building blocks) that come from the petrochemical industry. That "transition" would cause some serious issues very fast and would hit consumer wallets hard.

Even being in no way connected to the power industry I can tell the math just doesn’t work. It’s widely known that we can’t renewably produce even a fraction of our required energy. To me that right there ends the conversation on moving completely to renewable with current technology.
Then you add in the fact that moving away from non removable means no more gas powered cars, so everything electric. This like quadruples are current electricity depends.

Yes. Everything in those windmills and solar panels is made from/with petroleum products. Almost every item we use daily is the same way. Without the oil industry we would be living in the dark ages. And that's what they want-they'll be the royalty and we'll be the serfs/peons/slaves.
