I’ve been shooting polymer pistols for the last 6 years varying from CZ, S&W, Sig and Glock. I’ve had my G19 MOS for the last 4 years, and it’s been reliable, shoots good and eats all of the ammo I put in it.

I am considering an STI Staccato or something alike. The triarc seems pretty sweet, but the $3500 price tag is a little steep for a pistol. I want to use it for USPSA and it be reliable enough to count on if needed to fill that role too.

1) needs to be compatible with RMR
2) G19 sized or slightly bigger
3) Chambered in 9mm
4) weapon light compatible
5) not finnicky, where a little bit of dirt or sand causes issues.

Those are my requirements. I know the STI staccato is $2k, but it’s not optics ready, so is there something around the $2500 mark?

Look at the Staccato P Duo. It is exactly $2,500 and has the optics cut in the slide. You get quite a bit for the extra $500. It has the Dawson Duo mounting plate for a Trijicon RMR or you can mount a Leoupold DPP directly to the slide. It has tall sights, extra fiber optic tubes to swap out the one in the front sight, a few different recoil springs and a nice case.

I bought one a few weeks ago and have put close to 500 rounds through it without a single hiccup so far. It is very accurate and has kicked my CZ SP-01 Shadow out of my top spot for range time.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Looks like a sweet setup! How’s the RMR mounting interface? The MOS plates for the glock only hang on by a couple threads.

Thanks, I really like how the pistol handles. The DUO plate looks like this and has all the mounting hardware you will need. I have read that some guys don't like how high the RMR sits on the slide but it does not bother me. The supplied screws do only go in several threads deep but I replaced them with a set from a local Ace hardward that are little longer and work great. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the entire package.
