I recently purchased a HS Precision M24 stock. I installed the stock and put my bipod on it. I was checking the level on my scope and noticed it needed to be rotated. After looking at the rifle it appears that the rifle is leaning to the left. I got to looking at the stock and it seems it was molded crooked. Both sling mounts on the front also look crooked. Anyone had any of these problems?

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I have one of their stocks. It was a take off one, but it seems straight. Definitely give them a call. Surely they will take care of you.

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I have already sent it back to Stockys Stocks. They are going to replace it as long as they deem it unworthy. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen any of these problems or if it was just an isolated incident?

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

stocks are what they are.....maybe the bedding blocks are sometimes a bit off ....or more than likely the inlet and pillar are not plumb......which may make it a warranty thing

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I've got three of their stocks and havent had any problems. Give them a call. They've always been good to me. Sounds like a isolated incident. They should take care of it.

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I have heard the new HS stocks have an offset. Makes them look crooked but they are supposed to be this way. Contact HS to verify. I have heard of this two other times. It is supposed to help you get behind the rifle better or something.

Had the exact same issue on a HS Precision M24 stock about 2 years ago. Also purchased from Stocky's. When it was installed and the screws were torqued properly the stock channel was so crooked that the barrel almost ran dead into the stock at the front. There was no way it was correct.

I called HS Precision because I didn't like Stocky's CS answer of "send it here on your own dime, if we think something is wrong with it we'll figure something out" and spoke to a guy named Kent. He hooked me up and had a mailing label to me within 20 mins. Had me send the stock in and ordered a new one from the factory for me in the meantime which he sent out when he received mine.

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

Thats the same thing they told me. I told the lady that if there was nothing wrong with it then I would not be taking it back off my rifle and sending it back to them. I thought I had to deal with Stockys because thats where I bought it. If its not resolved then I will contact HS Precision. It looked really good and felt good too. And to kevin yes my other stock and other guns were straight with the same bipod on it. This was my first thought so I checked it out first.

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I had the same problem, but I live about 7 miles from HS. I took it in and they fixed it and it is now perfect! I'm very sure they will fix it, if you call and let them know it is coming their way. Just send it to them,

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I posted about this issue some time ago THEY as in HS will no do anything about it they will claim you abused there stock in some way like leaving your work rifle in the squad truck for 24 hours in the summer in IND. LOL And as for the above of people getting it fixed I have never confirmed anyone actually getting anything done. Now if these are BRAND NEW stock I could see where some may have had them fixed but if you have owned the rifle or stock over a year good luck. I was treated very badly by HS as so have many others including operators in the armed forces using there equipment in the field.

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

My stock was warped so bad that I could re mount the sling swivel in the proper position until I bought a Mcree's stock. And now I am much happier. Good luck I think since it is a new stock they should cover it.

Re: Crooked HS Precision stocks?

I just got off the phone with Stockys and I was told that they checked it out and that they found nothing wrong with it. They said they would send me another one but it would likely be the same. They kept saying that the float was fine and I kept trying to explain that the float was not the problem. So I got a refund and will be spending it on another stock by some other manufacturer from another dealer.
