Cuba in distress

Cargo planes C-130 140's ect.
Full of AK's and ammo, a preprogrammed Ht and instructions on how to find and "remove" coms block.

Air drop in individual / small batches. Let expat volunteers spearhead the manuver.

Being armed should facilitate free speech.

The communist pigs forgot to remove the churches, mistake on thier part.

What do you figure for loyalty in the states army? 50%

Ohh I’ve seen this one before!!!

One of my favorite reruns!

Then we install our boy “a good stable leader” then things get even worse, we get more involved, remove that horrible evil dictator...no idea where he came from I’ll tell you wut! And install a new good boy because “this time it’ll be different” and on marches the self licking ice cream cone.

Fuck the mob. Theyre only a half step below the communists. if that.

Uhhh no.

Look at what Vegas became

Better yet, compare the people killed by the mob vs communism. You might need a wide screen monitor for how far that decimal point moves in that comparison 😂 Furthermore look at the type of people targeted for killing between big gov and the mob.

The mob is a reaction to free market in a repressive regime for the most part, and when that BS government goes away free enterprise dilutes and more or less washes the mob out. Al la Vegas

C140s full of AR14s?

A C140 would make one hell of a jump. Probably not a very big cargo load though

Hey! C140s are a hoot! Never jumped one however

Oh yeah, didn’t Elvis have one?
*yup N777EP
He did, named hound dog IIRC. I flew in one in the late 90s after we refit it with new interior. It used to be the KISS tour plane, but someone bought it and redid it. We were installing flat screens before flat screens were cool. And formica faced cabinets that cost more than some people’s houses

I'd be willing to go to Cuba and fight for the return of my family's property. My Grandparents escaped in 1962 with the help of the CIA....They worked for the CIA from within Cuba for two years, surveilling the Russian cargo ship contents as it was unloaded in a port near their home.
Unfortunately this problem needs to resolve itself, perhaps with some support from those of us on the outside. Anything else is folly.

You sound very eager to spend next trilion $ for no gain to the US except for some Florida elites that would line their pockets with the money you would be spending there for a couple of decades so that Nike could have access to cheap labour.

So far regime change track record is so bad you are literally expecting a miracle.
The only expense to the government would be the 2 day invasion which is just the cost of munitions and fuel, labor is already being paid for in our daily expenditures keeping the Military on staff. Then you just invite the teamsters and a couple of connected guys in to run the day to day operations, its a gold mine for tourist trade.

Sure !
So what went wrong in all the other adventures so far?

“We can go kick their butts, kill them, remake their societies, hopefully have other people pay for it, remake the Middle East, promote democracy, people will be safer, and we’re going to give you a tax break!”

And then reality kicks in , since the 9/11 attacks, America has poured $3.2 trillion into its wars, and after its all over do you think it accomplished anything at all???? Afghanstan will roll back time for 20y in couple of months ,Iraq? a total mess.Syria ? Libya -actual slave markets in business now. i guess you could say Teamsters took their cut running day to day operations before retiring to board positions at Raytheon,LM, Boeing.

Promoting democracy and all the other terms they use so the sheep buy the pretense of war never really has gong wrong or failed because money was made and profits were turned. How else would the government be able to take trillions of taxpayers money without having an explanation such as war.

Yes my bad 141, and don't know about tossing things out of a cargo ramp of a C-5 never been on one.

I never worked on any of those rather I was a fighter jet maintainer / builder.
T-33, F4, F15, F-111, F16, F22, F-35.

I have bounced around on 130's and would put me to sleep instantly. (I never jumped out)

I figure some drone strikes to cripple air defense and drop a lot of arms then go home for brunch.

Note: You know I have not had a C-141 shine his landing lites in my window for a while now and C-5 seems pretty rare nowdays. I live in the flight path rite at 2 minute turn distance.

1stof all, the social media in the US has already cut some people off of their platforms, plus Mainstream media isn't covering either fairly or in the depth needed, so that is going on here already.
Secondly, I sincerely doubt, no matter what is said, that the leftists running the US government are going to come down on this issue with anything other than assistance to the current marxist Government in Cuba.
I believe pretty much nothing that is put out on any "official" format, regardless of source.

I lived between Hurlburt Field and Eglin for 35 years (minus one short and deployments). Probably saw at least one of eveyything in the inventory...including the Space Shuttle riding a 757 doggie style. Lots of time in various 130s.

C-141s are long gone from the boneyard. Once they were retired there was no longer a reason to keep them around for spare parts. I was there in 2014 for a Crash, Disabled, Damaged Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) course and there was one that I remember seeing and it was only there for the course. They had it stuck in a mud patch and we had to get it unstuck as part of the course.

This reminds me of my days at McCord AFB, Wa.. Assigned to the Aero Repair and Reclamation (ARR) shop in 62nd FMS. Never had to rescue a C-141A/B, or a C-130, but, did a few F-106's, F-111's, and one C-5, during my time there (77 thr 82). Mac(y)

I was a little east of you in PCB at the dive school. Played with 7th grp amd ranger batt a bit. Fun times. I'll be back down there in 3 years after my son grafuates HS here.

Gotta see the AC-130s doing their gun runs. That was amazing.

We dove the crash site when the blackhawk went down in 2016? That's wasnt fun.

Cargo planes What do you figure for loyalty in the states army? 50%
Enlisted… 80 Percent
NCO about 90 Percent
Junior officer corps… 60 percent
Senior Officer corps… 30 percent.

That is to the Constitution. Subtract from 100 for those loyal to a corrupt regime.

Oh wait… You are Talking about Cuba… my bad. Yeah… almost nil.

Sadly, many became socialists and communists.
If you are referring to those who got caught in the Soviet controlled zone, they did not have a choice. That Eastern half then became the DDR - German "Democratic" Republic - another socialist failure.

As far as Europe's political leanings are concerned, you can observe the same phenomenon that we see here. The tighter you pack people, the more they lean towards collectivism at the expense of personal freedom and liberty.

One would assume that lack of physical freedom should result in a desire to have more legal freedom. But the opposite happens in US cities and in Europe, which is pretty much one city next to another. The desire for liberty is strong though in places like Corsica and sparsely populated parts of Spain and Italy. There is no such thing like 'sparsely populated' in Germany - at least not compared to what exists in the USA.

If need be though, many could be returned to service. Benefit of that desert storage.
Um, no. As a former-141 flying Crew Chief, I flew them until the last. Originally designed for 27,000 hours, I was flying on some that had over 50,000 hours. They were flat wore out. The wing boxes had severe cracks going on and most had tcto weight limits as a result. They were magnificent aircraft. But they ain't coming back.
I could tell you a story about one I crewed to Sarajevo back in the day that would make your hair stand on end.

I wonder if anybody smuggled starlink dishes into Cuba. I think that would be hard to jam.
Satcom, including broadband sat services like Starlink, are easy to jam if you know what your doing and have a big enough dish to focus you higher radiated power vs the legit provider.
But, you’ll likely jam other services on the same satellite and that creates a trouble ticket that can reasonably quickly identify the source. Should that happen in Cuba from a Cuban (govt) earth station, I’d expect that location would be sent back from the US to persons in-country willing to correct the problem with a kinetic solution.

I stand corrected. What’s frightening is the US no longer produces any heavy lift aircraft. C5 are old AF. C17 production line is shut down. C130 I believe is shut down as well but not 100% sure on that. If we really got into the shit with a big country like Russia or China we would have serious problems moving equipment.

So now they will provide Cubans internet access that, they have been busy taking away from conservative Americans ROFL the irony of an Orwellian police state.

Went to a couple schools in PC...many years ago. I miss the area and the friends. Sadly, over 35 years, I'm familiar with a number of lost AC in the region. If you ever drive around Hurlburt Field, almost all the street signs are named after lost souls. Of course, like everywhere else a few are named after generals or politicians...you know, c***suckers.

That's what commercial airlines are for. IIRC, DoD can "activate" 25 percent. Pertty sure commercial AC delivered cargo during GW I buildup.

Yes they can. We have provisions for it in our contracts. But it only pertains to moving people to staging areas. We aren’t going to be flying into active war zones in a 777.

Not that I want to see it happen, but I'd bet if we found ourselves between a rock and a hard place, USAF pilots would be ferrying troops and cargo where ever it needed to go using commercial AC.

I could do some mods and weapons system integration if you want.

Emergency egress systems would be problematic though.

I can thow in a couple of free ashtrays in case it's one of those trips.

True.... during OIF, I flew into Abu Dhabi from BWI, on a Hawaiian Airlines L-1011. Wonderful flight! Although 14 hours straight with your ass strapped to a seat isn't fun.

Don't forget the civil reserve fleet requirements
